Lots of charred timber guaiacol-like aromas; Palate is likewise oaky-tannic and grippy, with a firmness that begs for more time. Deepset blackberry also. Long finish. Tannic and over-extracted, but not as bad as some others in the same tasting lot. Some bitterness. Certainly has concentration, but difficult to drink it. Needs several years
