Aged in 400 litre French oak barrels (20% new) for a period of 15 months. Deep dark red black tinged colour with a dark red hue. Nosing offers up a fragrant bouquet of violets, sour to red cherries and strawberries followed by hints of anise, fresh herbs and spicy cedar. A vibrant mix of sour through to dark cherry fruits mix with winter strawberries, hints of sour cherries, red liquorice, fresh herbs and spicy cedar. Lively acidity with polished tannins and a fleshy yet fresh aftertaste.
